In our experience, we used CCIL for a wide range of purposes. According to its author, it covers a specific paradigm of the software system - the pipelined data handling.

Characteristics of the problems, addressed with CCIL

  • Non interactive
  • Back end
  • Input data is available and can be retrieved no matter how

Appliancations

  • Search Portals. Turned both inwards to the proper data of the entity (#Find) or outwards (V-SSP,WebAware)to the Big Data world of the Internet.
  • Scrappers.
  • Collectors of various kinds.
  • Augmentors.
  • Multi-dimensional self-governed systems (as example Trinity, courtesy of Identrics).
  • Billing systems, such in the case of Soundex.
